Join Us for a Month of Better Sleep!
May is a month of blooming flowers and new growth, of honoring mothers, and of the celebration of the successful completion of education. It’s a month of renewal and fresh starts.
And it is also a month of recognizing the huge impact that quality sleep has on our health and well-being. It’s a month of dedicating ourselves to getting better sleep.
The Better Sleep Council has officially declared May to be “Better Sleep Month,” in an effort to attract more attention to the importance of getting a good night’s sleep. This year is the 30th anniversary of celebrating better sleep in the month of May.
Over the past 30 years, the Better Sleep Council has worked hard to shine an international spotlight on how important sleep is to the health and happiness of everyone around the world. They’ve reached thousands of people with their efforts to spread the word of better sleep.
Through television and radio ads, social media campaigns and YouTube videos, the Better Sleep Council has shared the latest research and information about how critical getting enough sleep is, as well as how to make sure that the sleep that we’re getting is of the highest quality.
Last year’s Better Sleep Month focused on the importance of sleeping on a comfortable, supportive mattress when it comes to getting to sleep. The Better Sleep Council came out with a hilarious video sharing some of the crazy ways people try to get some sleep and what happens when the folks in the video realized that their mattresses were way too old. Most of us can relate!
Sleep experts announced that half of Americans say that they’re sleep deprived, and most people have had their mattress for way more than the recommended 7 years of use. Yikes!
