The Lull Original Premium is the most popular choice for back pain. Its 5-layer design contours to your spine while keeping hips and shoulders aligned. For those who want support with some bounce, the Luxe Hybrid also performs well — pocketed coils provide targeted support without the sinking feeling of all-foam. See our full best mattress for back pain guide.

Memory foam mattresses (Original Lull, Original Premium) contour to your body, absorb movement, and reduce pressure points. They're quieter and better at motion isolation. Hybrid mattresses (Luxe Hybrid, Luxe Premium) combine pocketed coils with foam — you get contouring plus breathability and bounce. Hybrids tend to sleep cooler and feel more responsive. See our memory foam vs. hybrid guide for a deeper comparison.

The Luxe Hybrid and Luxe Premium Hybrid are both excellent for couples. Pocketed coils isolate motion so one partner's movement doesn't disturb the other, and the gel-bead cooling helps if one of you sleeps hot. Both memory foam options also perform well for motion isolation — foam naturally absorbs movement. For couples with different firmness preferences, the Luxe Hybrid's medium-firm feel tends to be the best compromise.

Yes, all Lull mattresses are compatible with most adjustable bed frames.

The Luxe Hybrid is Lull's best choice for hot sleepers. Its pocketed coil system allows natural airflow through the mattress all night, and the gel-bead cooling foam layer absorbs and dissipates heat. It scored 9.0/10 for pressure relief in independent NapLab testing. If you run very hot, the Luxe Premium Hybrid adds an extra cooling foam layer. See our best mattress for hot sleepers guide for a full breakdown.

No. All Lull mattresses are fiberglass-free. This is increasingly important — some budget mattress brands use fiberglass as a fire barrier inside the mattress cover, which can be hazardous if the cover is removed or damaged. Lull uses CertiPUR-US® certified foams and a compliant fire barrier that contains no fiberglass, formaldehyde, or harmful chemicals.

Twin and Twin XL work well for solo sleepers. Full suits single sleepers wanting more room. Queen is the most popular choice for couples and solo sleepers who like to spread out. King and California King are best for couples who want maximum space or those who share with pets and children. See the full size guide for exact dimensions.

Once your 365-night trial window closes, your mattress is covered by Lull's Lifetime Warranty — which protects against manufacturing defects, body impressions over 1.5", and structural issues for the life of the mattress. The trial is for comfort preference; the warranty is for product integrity. If you decide before day 365 that it's not for you, contact us and we'll arrange a free pickup and full refund.

Most orders ship within 1–2 business days and arrive within 2–7 business days via FedEx Ground in the contiguous US. You’ll receive a tracking number by email. Your mattress arrives compressed in a compact box — light enough for one person to carry upstairs.

Lull mattresses work on virtually any firm, flat surface: platform frames, slatted bases (slats no more than 4" apart), box springs, adjustable bases, and even the floor. They do not require a box spring, though one can be used. The Lull Mattress Foundation is specifically designed for Lull and provides solid, uniform support. See our Lull Foundation and bed frames for options that pair perfectly.

Lull mattresses begin expanding immediately after unboxing and are comfortable to sleep on within a few hours. They reach their full intended height (10”, 12”, 13”, or 15” depending on model) within 24–48 hours. A mild off-gassing smell is normal for the first 24 hours — it’s safe and dissipates quickly with ventilation.

You have several options: (1) Donate it — charities like the Salvation Army often accept gently used mattresses for free pickup. (2) Recycle it — visit ByeByeMattress.com to find a mattress recycling drop-off near you; many states have free programs. (3) Schedule a bulky-item pickup — most cities offer this as part of regular municipal trash services. (4) Contact Lull support about White Glove haul-away options available in some areas at delivery.
